Patricia Brown Holmes Reflects in Illinois Super Lawyers 20th Anniversary Edition
Super Lawyers invited RSHC Managing Partner Patricia Brown Holmes to recall 20 years of growing, changing, and practicing and consider what’s ahead in the 20th Anniversary Edition of Illinois Super Lawyers. “What I’ve seen in the last 20 years is a huge focus on equity … people are realizing that you can hire a woman, or minority lawyer and still get spectacular service.”
Patricia was a cover subject in the 2010 Illinois Super Lawyers edition with her article, “Indubitably Holmes.” She shared the story of her tenacious fight with stage-four lymphoma and her inspiring career journey starting as a Cook County state’s attorney, to federal prosecutor, to respected judge, and to co-leader of a major law firm’s white collar group and co-chair of its diversity committee. Now she is the first-ever, in the history of our country, African-American woman co-founder and global Managing Partner of Riley Safer Holmes & Cancila.
