Bio
Vivian is a strategic litigator with a rare combination of
engineering experience and sophisticated intellectual property practice. She
represents clients in complex disputes involving patents, trademarks, trade
secrets, trade dress, and copyrights in state and federal courts and before the
International Trade Commission (ITC) and Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).
Known for translating technical concepts into effective legal
strategy, Vivian advises clients from pre-suit investigation through trial
across a range of industries and technologies, including software, mechanical,
and medical technologies.
Before joining RSHC, Vivian focused on patent prosecution,
counseling, transactions, and litigation, while also handling consumer class
actions, breach of contract disputes, and healthcare abuse and compliance
matters.
Vivian is also an active leader in the legal community, having held leadership positions with HLAI – Serving Hispanic Lawyers in Illinois, the American Bar Association Intellectual Property Law Section, and ChIPs.
