Bio
Morgan Birck is a litigator with extensive experience in
research, writing, and oral advocacy before trial and appellate courts and
administrative agencies. She draws from this experience to navigate clients
through complex legal issues and to clearly and thoughtfully advocate on her
clients’ behalf.
Before joining the firm, Morgan worked for nearly five years
as an appellate public defender in New Jersey, where she wrote dozens of
appellate briefs and motions for compassionate release and resentencing and
argued them before the New Jersey trial and appellate courts. She argued before
the New Jersey Supreme Court, securing full wins for her clients in two cases.
She also helped prepare clients for their parole release hearings and appealed
agency denials.
Morgan clerked for the Honorable Manish S. Shah of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
