Edward Casmere Named to Crain’s 2021 Notable Gen X Leaders List
Riley Safer Holmes & Cancila LLP (RSHC) is proud to announce that partner Edward Casmere has been honored as one of Crain's Chicago Business 2021 Notable Gen X Leaders in Accounting, Consulting and Law.
Crains selected Chicagoans, born between 1965 and 1980, who have shown the ability or power to effect change and have assumed leadership positions outside their own organizations. Ed exemplifies the hard-working ethos of this group of Gen X Notables as someone who has demonstrated not only professional excellence and achievement, but dedication to serving others and the resilience and flexibility to have managed a busy practice through the pandemic.
Clients look to Ed to serve as lead counsel in cases across the country. In his role as a high-level risk manager, strategic advisor, negotiator, and trial lawyer, Ed has successfully represented national and international businesses in the sports/entertainment, banking, food, automotive, children’s products, insurance, agricultural products, chemical, industrial products, aviation, technology, and glass industries. Within RSHC, Ed serves as chair of our Marketing and Business Development Committee and leads multiple service teams and training initiatives.
In service to the legal profession and the greater community, Ed donates his time with multiple organizations. He currently serves on the American Bar Association’s Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section Continuing Legal Education Board and the Illinois State Bar Association’s Bench & Bar Section Council. He is co-editor of ISBA’s Bench & Bar Newsletter, vice-chair of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel’s TTEL Committee, vice-chair of the ABA TIPS TTEL Committee, and vice-chair of the ABA TIPS Product Liability Committee. Ed also volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and Feed My Starving Children.
