Having represented and worked with a diverse group of individuals, Jenny Owens understands the importance of developing good working relationships. Whether it is her clients, teammates, or opposing counsel, she makes people feel comfortable by being an active and inquisitive listener. Jenny prides herself on being able to straddle a range of practice areas and move in different directions while capably managing multiple matters.
Jenny has broad legal experience in diverse areas of litigation including products liability, class actions, insurance defense, and white collar investigations. Her legal career also includes work in the public sector having worked as a public defender where she represented criminal defendants in all aspects of trial litigation including drafting and arguing motions, conducting depositions, and trying jury and non-jury trials. Additionally, Jenny worked at the Illinois Human Rights Commission where she worked on discrimination cases involving employment, housing, and schooling matters.
While Jenny grew up in Memphis, she loves that she gets to call Chicago home now and is still enjoying learning about all the great things the Midwest has to offer.
