A lifelong entrepreneur who always has multiple passion projects in the works, Gerena Gregory brings creativity, energy, and a super-charged work ethic to helping clients grow and manage their businesses.
Focusing her practice on Business Transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financing, venture capital and private equity fund formation, and commercial contract drafting, Gerena works with business founders and key executives to support their success at every stage. She brings to her practice experience gained through working in the Chicago-Kent College of Law Entrepreneurial Law Clinic, where she worked with start-up enterprises on every aspect of their businesses, from entity formation through growth and exit, as well as her own work in managing multiple Internet-based businesses.
Gerena also interned with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) World Bank, reviewing transactional documents for deal negotiations and analyzing agreements to ensure risk allocation. She spent two years as a judicial law clerk to the Hon. Cynthia Y. Cobbs in the Illinois Appellate Court conducting legal research and drafting documents related to both civil and criminal matters.
