Judges Launch New DEI Program, Patricia Brown Holmes Leads Civil Procedures Session
The Illinois Judges Association (IJA) and the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism (2Civility) are launching a three-part educational series, “Building Confidence in Our Legal System,” aimed at addressing racial disparities and other equity issues in Illinois’ legal system. RSHC Managing Partner Patricia Brown Holmes will lead the March 11 session, “Civil Procedures.”
Each of the three 90-minute sessions is comprised of working groups of judges, attorneys and other court, legal and community stakeholders. The groups will convene for presentations and discussions to identify challenges and explore opportunities and solutions leading to reforms that Illinois courts, bar associations and community groups can implement to build trust and confidence in the legal system.
